Shootings rock Pretoria with 14-year-old, policeman falling victim

According to reports two unidentified vehicles approached and three men alighted from the vehicles carrying firearms believed to be rifles, dressed in black bulletproof proof vests.

Police are investigating the murder of four people, including a 14-year-old girl.

The incident reportedly occurred on January 01, at around 01:30 along a roadway at Soshanguve Block P.

According to reports, heavily armed suspects opened fire killing four after two unidentified vehicles approached and three men alighted the vehicles carrying long firearms believed to be riffles and were dressed in black bulletproof proof vests.

Police found two females and two males with gunshot wounds.

The three are believed to be around the ages of 29 and 30.

Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said police were investigating four counts of murder.

“In the early hours of January 01 2024, the police attended to a shooting incident at Soshanguve where they found four people with gunshot wounds on the street.”

She said amongst the victims there was a young teenage girl.

“The circumstances that led to the shooting are unknown at this stage and no suspects have been arrested as yet.”
