Mild to warm weekend in Pretoria with a slight chance of rain

The temperatures in Pretoria are expected to reach a maximum of 32°C from a minimum of 18°C on Saturday.

No severe thunderstorms are expected in Gauteng today, however, there is a 30% chance of downpours in the evening, said the South African Weather Service (SAWS).

The SAWS forecaster Kgolofelo Mahlangu said residents in Pretoria can expect a cloudy morning, but otherwise partly cloudy day with scattered showers in the evening.

Mahlangu said the minimum temperature in Pretoria today is 18°C while the maximum is sitting at 32°C.

She said Gauteng did not receive any yellow level two thunderstorm warnings for today or tomorrow.

“We don’t expect any severe conditions for tonight in Gauteng, we expect that the storms will move to areas such as Limpopo, Kwa-Zulu Natal, and Mpumalanga.”

However, on Sunday Pretoria can expect a cloudy Sunday with a 60% chance of showers and thundershowers, and a minimum temperature of 17°C and a maximum of 27°C.
