The Democratic Alliance (DA) party will launch its manifesto at the Union Buildings on Saturday, starting with a march from Church Square.

The launch comes ahead of the 2024 national and provincial elections, scheduled for later this year.

Party leader John Steenhuisen’s address is expected to outline the party’s blueprint for a better South Africa.

DA federal chairperson Ivan Meyer said the manifesto will highlight the party’s transformative potential.

“This occasion transcends the boundaries of a mere event; it marks a movement of significant proportions, with the largest mobilisation effort in the history of the DA.

“Tens of thousands of DA supporters from every corner of South Africa will participate in the march from Church Square to the Union Buildings, showcasing an unprecedented level of enthusiasm.

“Notably, this broad-based support extends beyond our traditional strongholds, reflecting a groundswell of commitment from all regions of our nation,” said Meyer.
