Man accosted, robbed in his Pretoria North home
The robbers escaped with an unknown amount of cash, clothes and a cell phone.
A Pretoria North man was robbed in his home on Monday night, February 19.
Tshwane police spokesperson Warrant-Officer Johan van Dyk said a case of house robbery has been opened.
He said the robbery took place at 23:30 on Monday night on Lavender Road near Bon Accord Dam.
Van Dyk said the man reported that while he was sitting in his vehicle, a group of six unknown men had passed by.
Then, as he he went into the house, the group followed him in and one of them pointed a firearm at him.
“The group took his phone, searched the house before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and clothes,” said Van Dyk.
He said the suspects escaped without firing a shot and no injury was reported.
Van Dyk said though the suspects could not be identified, it was suspected they had some involvement in a business robbery in the area as well.
