Fuel tanker on fire – emergency services on scene

Emergency services are on the scene where a fuel tanker was on fire earlier.

A fuel tanker caught fire before the Zambesi Toll Gate.

Pro Med Emergency Medical Services said the fire is contained at this stage.

“All services still on scene. Please avoid the area if possible.”

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes until the scene has been cleared.

Meanwhile, in other news, a police officer is amongst the six who allegedly kidnapped the Mohammed cousins’.

Police said the six men who allegedly kidnapped the Mohammed cousins’ are expected to appear in court on Thursday.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone said a multi-disciplinary team was tasked to investigate the Mohammed cousins’ kidnapping.

They effected two more arrests on Tuesday, 26 March 2024.

Mokgwabone said the suspects included a police sergeant attached to Letlhabile Detectives.
