Three killed in Centurion accident
A woman and two children were killed in the accident on the N14 and a further two taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
Three people died and two others were injured in an accident on the N14 on Friday.
Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said that at approximately 18:00 on Friday, Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash on the N14 in the vicinity of Rooihuiskraal.
“On arrival on-scene, a light delivery vehicle was found to have left the roadway, overturning several times before smashing into a wall.”
Van Reenen said that two occupants of the vehicle, an adult male and a female were found to have sustained moderate injuries.
They were treated and stabilized on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
“During the mechanism of the crash, three people who were seated in the cargo area were ejected and sustained fatal injuries.”
Van Reenen said that a woman, an approximately seven-year-old boy, and an approximately one-year-old girl were declared dead on arrival at the scene.
“The incident and the events preceding it will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation.”
