Metro police swiftly recover two stolen vehicles

A Toyota Hilux bakkie from Moreleta Park was one of the stolen vehicles recovered in Nellmapius.

Tshwane metro police (TMPD) K9 members recovered two stolen vehicles within an hour of each other on April 1 in Mamelodi.

Metro police spokesperson, Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba, said a Nissan Micra was reported stolen in Hatfield.

He said somehow the suspects stole the car keys from the owner’s pocket and fled in a car.

In another incident on the same day, a Toyota Hilux bakkie was stolen from Moreleta Park and recovered in Nellmapius.

“The circumstances under which the car was stolen are still under investigation,” said Mahamba.
