Streets to avoid today in Atteridgeville near Lucas Moripe Stadium

Several streets around the stadium will be closed from 15:30 until 23:00.

 

Motorists in Atteridgeville are warned of possible congestion on Saturday around the Lucas Moripe Stadium ahead of a soccer match.

The Tshwane metro police (TMPD) said the soccer match between SuperSport United FC and TS Galaxy FC at Lucas Moripe Stadium will take place at 20:00.

According to TMPD spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba, several streets around the stadium will be closed from 15:30 until 23:00.

Mahamba said the following streets will be affected:
-Thusago Street and Hlahla Street
-Ramatsui Street and Hlahla Street
-Maunde Street and Hlahla Street
-Maunde Street and Magodielo Street
-Maunde Street and Magombane Street
-Pilane Street and Maunde Street

Motorists are advised to avoid and use alternative routes such as:
-WF Nkomo Street
-Khudu Street
-Sekhu Street
-Moroe Street
-Sehloho Street
-Seeiso Street
-Letshwalo Street

He said TMPD members and the police will be deployed to monitor all affected streets.
