Maintenance on power network this Wednesday in north

Eskom has warned of a possible electricity supply interruption due to maintenance work being undertaken in Temba.

Residents in the north of Pretoria can expect an interruption in their electricity supply on Wednesday, May 22, as Eskom has planned maintenance work on its distribution network in Temba from 08:00 to 16:00.

In a statement by Eskom, Temba residents are warned of the electricity supply interruption that will affect them due to maintenance to be conducted on the distribution network.

Customers in the following areas will be affected:

– Bothlaba Bus
– Brenner Mills
– Bridgeview
– Hammanskraal West
– Jubilee Crossing and Mall
– Jubilee Hospital (during switching only)
– Kanana and Rens Town

In the interest of safety, Eskom advises residents to treat all electrical appliances as live at all times during the power supply outage.

“Eskom would like to thank you all for your co-operation and apologises for any inconvenience that may be caused by this maintenance,” it said.

The power utility added that the planned electricity maintenance may not proceed as communicated should circumstances beyond its control arise.
