Pretoria residents can expect a relatively cool weekend, with no rain forecast, according to South African Weather Service forecaster Samkelesiwe Thwala.

“We are not expecting any rain in Pretoria on Saturday and Sunday. There will be clear skies with relatively cool temperatures,” Thwala said.

She said the cool temperatures are due to the passing of the cold front.

On Friday Pretoria will experience cool weather conditions, with a maximum of 17°C and a minimum of 6°C.

Thwala said the cold to very cool weather is expected to persist over most parts of Gauteng.

She said on Saturday temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 20°C with clear skies.

However, on Sunday maximum temperatures will remain at 20°C with a minimum of 5°C.

Thwala said on Monday there’s a 0% chance of rain, with a maximum of 20°C.
