Mams DJ and producer releases his first EP album

Afro-house artist, producer, and DJ from Mamelodi, Katlego Mabasa (36) from Phase 5 in Mamelodi East, known as Siar Maspila, released his EP album, “Mitsama Mi Tsakile” on June 7.
He is featuring music sensation Ntunja, who hails from Ekurhuleni, east of Johannesburg, and is known for gracing major stages globally and for his collaboration with iconic artists such as Hugh Masekela, Idris Elba, Hostix Mabuse, Cassper Nyovest, and Johnny Clegg.
The title, “Mitsama Mi Tsakile”, which translates to “Let’s Stay Happy and Celebrate Life”, perfectly encapsulates the uplifting and joyous spirit of this collaboration.
Speaking to Siar Maspal, he said the single is available on all digital platforms.
His musical roots can be traced back to his early childhood, when he spent extensive time with his neighbour, who happened to be a producer.
Everything changed forever for him when his neighbour introduced him to producing music.
Siar Maspila is a multifaceted artist renowned in the South African music industry.
He said his career began in 2003, when he made a significant impact as a DJ, record producer, singer, remixer, songwriter, and record label owner.
He has released 12 albums to date and gained widespread acclaim after his participation in the 2015 1’s and 2’s Masters of Spin Season 2 SABC1 competition in Johannesburg.
His contributions to music were recognised when he won the Summer Song of the Year award at Thobela FM in December 2015.
His distinctive style and dedication have made him one of the most respected artists in the industry.
