Several Pretoria streets to be closed for EFF march today

Pretoria motorists should expect road closures and disruptions on Monday as the EFF march affects key streets in Sunnyside until midday.

Pretoria motorists should anticipate road closures and disruptions on Monday as the Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) march impacts major streets in Sunnyside until midday.

According to the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) the marchers gathered from 09:00 at an open space at Corner Bourke Street and Jorisson Street in Sunnyside and march to Midcity Property offices, 500 Jorisson Street, Sunnyside, Pretoria.

The route of the march is as follows:

From the gathering point, they will join Jorisson Street and proceed straight until they reach the Midcity Property Office.

They are expected to disperse from the Midcity Property Office at 12:30.

The following streets will be affected:

  • Jorissen Street
  • Dwars Street
  • Relly Street
  • Vos Street
  • Plein Street
  • Vlok Street

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes such as:

  • Reitz street
  • Justice Mahomed Street
  • Rissik Street
  • De Kock Street
  • Verdoorn Street
