Rekord, Pretoria’s largest community newspaper, remains committed to bringing residents across the capital city the news that affects their lives every week.
Between 240 000 and 309 000 newspapers are distributed to various parts of Pretoria every week. This includes six weekly newspapers and three bi-weekly newspapers.
Community newspapers such as Rekord, act as a vital source of local news and events, fostering a sense of connection and informing residents about the issues that shape their own lives.
To ensure that our readers receive their newspapers promptly and reliably, Rekord makes use of a dedicated distribution team adhering to a meticulously planned and strict schedule.
So when exactly should you expect to receive your newspaper? Here is our distribution schedule:
Weekly papers:
Rekord East – Tuesdays
Rekord Far East – Tuesdays
Rekord Centurion – Wednesdays
Rekord Moot – Thursdays
Rekord North – Thursdays
Rekord Mamelodi – Fridays
Bi-weekly papers:
Rekord Central, West and Noweto – every second Friday
To enhance the reliability of our distribution, we’ve provided key identifiers for our delivery team.
Our distribution team members often wear either black or red T-shirts or red hoodies with caps that display the Rekord logo.
You will often see them carrying bundles of newspapers which they drop off at the various points we deliver to.
We seldom, if ever, deviate from the delivery days as set out above.
