Help locate Mamelodi man who discharged himself from hospital
The family heard that Lekala ran away from the hospital in 2018 and he is nowhere to be found.
Police need help in locating a 31-year-old Mamelodi man who is medically vulnerable, last seen at the Mamelodi hospital in 2018.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Daphny Maila said it is alleged that Thapelo Martin Lekala discharged himself from hospital and was never seen again.
She said family members remember him being admitted to the Mamelodi Hospital ward.
The family was informed that he discharged himself, but three months later he has not reported back home.
“They heard that Thapelo ran away from the hospital and he is nowhere to be found,” said Maila.
She and the family have searched almost everywhere for him without luck.
Nobody knows what he was wearing when he discharged himself from hospital.
Lekala is dark in complexion, has dark eyes, is 1.6m tall and has small ears.
Police said there is no waiting period to report a missing person.
