Solomon Mahlangu Drive to be closed this weekend

The road is expected to be closed at 18:00 on December 6 until midnight on December 8.

Centurion motorists are advised to prepare for the M10 Solomon Mahlangu Drive road closure this weekend for the construction of a new pedestrian bridge.

Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) announced the closure will take place between Veldpou Street and the R21 Interchange.

TMPD spokesperson Isaac Mahamba said the road is expected to be closed from 18:00 on Friday, December 6, until Sunday midnight, December 8.

“Construction notices and directions for alternative roads will be placed along the affected route,” he said.

“Motorists are encouraged to use alternative streets to avoid delays.”

Suggested routes include:

– R21
– Makou Street
– Visarend Street
– Veldpou Street

Mahamba added that TMPD officers will be deployed to monitor the situation and assist motorists navigating the affected areas.
