Here is the official fuel price for February

Fuel prices will rise in February due to higher global petrol prices and a weaker rand, marking the fourth straight month of increases.

The Department of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has confirmed the official fuel price adjustments, effective from Wednesday, 5 February 2025.

This follows an increase in global petrol prices and a weaker rand, marking the fourth consecutive month of price hikes.

Pretoria motorists are urged to fill up today before the price increases take effect.

The next fuel price adjustment will take effect from Tuesday, 4 March.

A report by BusinessTech indicates that the main factors driving the increase are higher demand caused by cold weather in the Northern Hemisphere and an expected rise in oil demand from China due to economic stimulus policies.

So what is the official petrol price for February?

Prices will be going up by 82 cents per litre for 93 and 95 petrol, respectively, and between R1.01 and R1.05 cents per litre for diesel.

INLAND February

Petrol 95 R22.41
Diesel 0.05% R20.34
Diesel 0.005% R20.45
