Three-day repair work to hinder water supply to several Tshwane areas
The maintenance work is set to begin from July 15 to 18 as the Rand water will permanently repair the leaks on the O2 pipeline which was temporarily repaired by its team of technicians previously.
The Tshwane metro has scheduled maintenance and repair work that will affect the water supply for about three days next week.
The work involves permanent repairs to the leaks on the O2 pipeline, which has been temporarily repaired in the past.
Metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo confirmed that the maintenance work forms part of Rand Water’s preparation for the higher demand period, starting in August.
This essential work will affect those of Tshwane’s reservoirs and meters supplied by the Klipfontein, Brakfontein and Haartebeeshoek Reservoirs.
The work is scheduled to start on July 15 at 05:00 and should be completed by July 18 at 08:00.

Mashigo said reservoirs and meters will be affected, as they will experience either low pressure or no water supply.

The metro has confirmed that roaming water tankers will be dispatched as and when the need arises.
“The city apologises for the inconvenience that may be encountered as a result of this essential maintenance work,” Mashigo said.
