Wimbledon magic comes alive at Irene Village Mall
Tennis fans savoured strawberries, scones and champagne as Irene Village Mall brought Centre Court action to life with big screens.
Irene Village Mall’s piazza was transformed into a little slice of Wimbledon this weekend as tennis lovers gathered for Final Serve.
Residents toasted with strawberries and champagne while watching tennis greats battle it out on big screens.
The two-day event brought Centre Court’s electrifying energy to Centurion with giant outdoor screens, cosy beanbags, and chilled champagne as locals watched the Ladies’ and Men’s Finals live from London.
Families arrived early to secure one of the 100 seats available on each day, enjoying fresh scones with cream and strawberry jam as part of their ticket package.
Children were kept busy in the Grip Rip Kids Corner, where they played hand tennis and won prizes while their parents soaked up the action.
Fashion also took centre stage with Lift Fit launching their tennis-inspired activewear collection at a stylish pop-up shop. Shoppers browsed the latest trends between sets, with many leaving with a sporty Wimbledon look.

The screenings proved a hit with residents, with the piazza filled with the sounds of applause, laughter, and clinking champagne glasses as fans celebrated their favourite players.

Zimkhitha Ndima, who was one of the attendees, said she had the time of her life.
“It’s such a brilliant idea. The atmosphere here is so lively, and it really feels like we’re part of Wimbledon,” she said.
