Eskom schedules power supply interruption on Sunday
Parts of Tshwane are scheduled to experience a total shutdown on Sunday due to maintenance: Ga-Rankuwa, Mabopane, Motlhotlung and Winterveldt.
Eskom has urged residents in Ga-Rankuwa, Mabopane, Motlhotlung and Winterveldt to take note of an electricity supply interruption due to maintenance that will be conducted on the distribution network.
Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokwena said the outage will take place on March 15 from 07:00 to 21:00.
“This operation is part of our ongoing commitment to strengthen the electricity system, improve reliability, and ensure continued service to customers. These essential activities are designed to safeguard infrastructure, reduce the risk of unexpected outages, and support long-term operational stability,” she said.
She mentioned that in the interest of safety, customers are advised to treat all electrical appliances as live at all times during the power supply outage.
The power utility would like to thank customers for their co-operation and apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused by this maintenance.
“Should circumstances beyond the control of Eskom arise, the planned electricity maintenance may not proceed as communicated,” added Mokwena.
Residents who have any inquiries are advised to contact Eskom on the ‘MyEskom Customer’ app or WhatsApp at 0860 03 7566.
Alternatively, they can dial *120*37566# or call Eskom’s Contact Centre on 08600 37566 from Monday to Saturday from 08:00 to 16:00.
