Gauteng skaters dominate categories at Roller-skating championships in Hammanskraal

The overall best female artistic skater and senior female skater was won by Keamogetswe Masango, while Lucky Baloyi, Neo Mlambo and Thabang Mashaba achieved the pole positions in the male categories.

The Roller Skating Championships took place in Mandela Villiage, Hammanskraal this year.

The competition featured participants from different provinces nationwide, competing in groups in an array of events, including the most artistic performance and fastest skater in each age group.

The Tshwane metro’s social development services department collaborated with Roller Sport South Africa to host the championships.

“It was a truly humbling experience to be in the presence of such great talent supported by parents, teachers, coaches and former participants who ensured that the spirit of roller sport is transferred to current participants,” said social development services MMC Peggy de Bruin.
