Residents supplied by the Wonderboom Reservoir are advised to prepare for a planned 24-hour water supply interruption from 07:00 on July 9 until 07:00 on July 10, as the Tshwane Metro undertakes essential maintenance at the reservoir.
The interruption is necessary to allow for the installation of a 600mm inlet meter, which forms part of ongoing efforts to improve the metro’s water infrastructure.
Metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said the planned shutdown is essential to ensure the long-term reliability and efficiency of the water distribution network.
“The planned interruption is required to facilitate the installation of a 600mm inlet meter at the Wonderboom Reservoir.
“We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and thank residents for their patience, understanding and continued cooperation while this important work is carried out,” said Mashigo.

The metro advises against watering gardens with hosepipes or sprinklers between 06:00 and 18:00, washing vehicles with hosepipes or filling swimming pools.
Residents are also encouraged to reuse grey water where possible, repair leaks promptly and install water-saving devices to reduce consumption.
The metro has apologised for the inconvenience and urged affected residents to make the necessary preparations ahead of the planned maintenance.
