WATCH: Shootout between Kameeldrift man and three criminals
The man was working at his workshop at a small holding when armed men attacked him.
Three armed criminals got more than they bargained for when their would-be victim was also armed and managed to shoot back at them at his smallholding in Kameeldrift West on Sunday night.
In a video shared by community policing activist Ian Cameron on Twitter, the three armed men can be seen raiding the workshop and threatening the owner at gunpoint.
The man, however, had a firearm of his own and managed to fight back.
In the video, he can be seen firing several shots at them.
The three attackers then fled the scene on foot.
One of them could be seen wearing an SAPS bulletproof vest.
Police could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.
