MEC Lesufi disheartened by death of school principal
H.L Setlalentoa Secondary School principal Moses Kadiege was discovered at Winterveldt in a bushy area next to the road on Sunday.
The Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi was saddened by the death of the principal of H.L Setlalentoa Secondary School in Ga-Rankuwa principal.
Moses Kadiege (56) was found dead on Sunday, according to Gauteng education spokesperson Steve Mabona.
“Information at our disposal states that the principal allegedly left his house in Brits on Saturday morning to visit his friends,” the statement reads.
He added that the principal never returned home and his body was found in Winterveldt on Sunday.
“Loate police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death,” he said.
He added that their psychosocial unit will be deployed to the school to extend trauma support and counselling to those who may be affected by this incident.
“We are disheartened by the untimely death of our revered principal, and we wish to convey our sincerest condolences to the school community and his beloved family,” Lesufi said.
Colonel Dimakatso Sello said Loate police are investigating a case of murder.
“The motive is unknown at this stage and police in Loate will continue with investigations,” she said.
The cause of death is also still unknown.
