Mother and child critical after truck accident on R21
It is believed that the truck and its trailer overturned on the highway.
A mother and child are in critical condition following a truck accident on the R21 in Pretoria East this past Sunday, October 2.
Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said both were given life-support intervention before being rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance for further care.
“Several advanced life support intervention methods were needed to stabilise them.”
The incident took place at around 16:30.
It was believed that the truck and its trailer overturned on the highway. First responders on the scene, found the mother and child pinned underneath the trailer.
The exact cause of the accident is not known but police are investigating.
