Sol-Tech unleashes 90 brand new artisans
Ninety graduate students were absorbed by reputable companies across the country.

Ninety artisans graduated at Sol-Tech’s Monument Park campus last week.
Sol-Tech MD, Paul van Deventer said the new graduates would be placed in different areas across the country some as far away as Bethlehem in the Free State.
“They will start the apprenticeship phase of their training in the next few weeks. For this phase, students are placed at approved companies for valuable hands-on training. In this group, students are placed as far as Bethlehem, Kroonstad, and Johannesburg,” he said adding that completing the first two phases of their training was something the graduates had to be proud of.
He said these students have a bright future ahead of them in the job market after studying at one of South Africa’s top vocational training facilities.
“Sol-Tech is extremely proud of these students. Hard work, dedication and discipline form part of their journey thus far. The school offers nationally recognised qualifications that make young people employable because they have scarce and critical skills.”
According to Van Deventer, Sol-Tech has seen many highlights over the last 15 years, one being the commissioning of the Monument Park campus in 2021.
“Sol-Tech’s success however is not measured by our world-class campus or the large number of students that we successfully train every year, but rather by our students’ success. Stats over the past years have shown that 94.7% of these students will be successfully employed and 20% will start their new venture.”
He said this graduation was the fourth this year and the school was built by South African trade union Solidarity in 2006.
He said the school admitted about 1 800 students in the various phases of training which included theoretical- and practical training at its workshops while others were currently in the process of completing their apprenticeships at various companies.
