Gospel music festival to collect food for those in need in the north
Attendees are advised to bring their own camping chairs as well as their donation of tin food or toiletries.
Residents in the north are invited to a gospel music festival in aid of those in need.
The gospel music festival, which will take place this weekend, is hosted by the New Age Music foundation.
The foundation is a non-profit organisation that looks after 587 beneficiaries by providing food, clothing, school necessities as well as healthcare products.
While the foundation was only registered in 2021, they have been working hard to ensure that the people under its care do not go to bed hungry.
After the directors of the organisation saw the need, they used their music shows as a way to raise awareness and funds for the worthy cause.
Thus far, they have managed to assist 177 children and 166 elderly people and are grateful for the partnership with Kit Kat which provides the foundation with curry and rice.
One of the directors, Francina Labuschagne, said that hosting a gospel festival will be the first of the foundation.
“We are however hopeful that people will attend not only to give a donation that will feed someone, but to also enjoy the music and to bring people closer to God.
“We are hoping to see over 500 people at the festival that will join us in song and fellowship, while we collect the much-needed food for those in need.”
The gospel festival will take place on October 29 at the corner of Denyssen Avenue and Mignon Street, Moutain View from 10:00 to 16:00.
