TUT eye a new record in the league
They will surpass a tally of 59 points should they win against Richmond United.
One more win and TUT Ladies FC will have something positive to reflect on in their 2022 season.
Coach Sizwe Sibiya and his troops will remember how important it is to surpass last season’s tally of 59 points.
Last weekend, they beat Tsunami Queens 3-0 to move closer to their objective.
Although they have won 17 matches, drawn seven, and lost only three, Sibiya believes they could’ve done better but were unfortunate.
“There are matches where we lost maximum points, but that’s the nature of the game,” he said.
Being second in the league is not an unfamiliar position for TUT. However, this season they’re at the mercy of other teams who have to beat UWC to prevent them from going up by a point above them.
Their rivals, UWC, have a game in hand and could take the second spot should they win all their matches.
TUT forward Busisiwe Ndimeni said they’re not happy with what they’ve achieved thus far in the league.
She said they could’ve done better than they did.
Sibiya’s troops will return to league action on Sunday, November 13, against Richmond United at TUT Stadium at 15:00.
