Tshwane financial services run virtual outreach campaign
Residents can engage with the City via Zoom until mid-December. The City’s campaign aims to maintain direct communication with its customers.

The Tshwane metro’s group financial services has once again opened its virtual channels to engage with residents via the Zoom platform to maintain direct communication with customers.
“The shift to virtual communication is necessary to satisfy customers who require direct engagement with revenue officials,” said the City. The virtual outreach will run until December 14.
Matters that can be attended to through Zoom, include account and billing queries, corrections of estimations, credit control and repayment arrangements, property rates queries, indigent-related queries and registration (social development), water metering queries, electricity and prepaid metering queries.
Virtual sessions will take place in the late afternoons from 16:00 to 19:00 on weekdays, and from 08:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays. This service is not available on Sundays and public holidays.
Customers will have seven categories of services that can be dealt with via the platform, these include resident and business queries regarding billing such as repayment arrangements, property rates and water, electricity as well as prepaid metering queries.
No download is needed for Zoom, as the host can be connected with via an internet browser. However, residents can contact outreach20@tshwane.gov.za for assistance in connecting to consultants.
The Zoom outreach service has 13 virtual account consultants, each with a pass code and a unique meeting ID for customers to connect with them.
Customers should have their account numbers ready before logging onto the platform.
