Petrol up, diesel down for December
Petrol prices will rise by 59c for both 95 and 93 ULP, while diesel will decrease by R1.57 and R1.52 for 50ppm and 500ppm respectively.

Minister Gwede Mantashe announced the price adjustments for fuel on December 6. The new prices will take effect as of Wednesday, December 7.
Petrol prices will rise by 59c for both 95 and 93 ULP, while diesel will decrease by R1.57 and R1.52 for 50ppm and 500ppm respectively.
Wholesale paraffin will decrease by 57c per litre and LP gas will increase by 95c per kilogram.
This means ULP 95 in Gauteng will cost R23.46 per litre, up from R22.87, ULP 93 R23.16 up from R22.57, 50ppm diesel R23.92 down from R25.73 and 500ppm diesel R23.97 up from R25.49.
Since its lows in January, fuel prices have remained above R20 per litre.
This time last year, diesel cost R17.20 and at its peak price last month R25.73 while ULP 95 cost R19.54 peaking in July at R26.74.
