Two new station commanders for north police stations
The Akasia and Sinoville police stations recently appointed new station commanders: Colonel Godfrey Zwane and Colonel Sello Frans Modise.
Two police stations in the north of Pretoria recently appointed new station commanders to lead the effort to ensure that the people of Akasia and Sinoville are safe.
Colonel Godfrey Zwane, formerly visible policing head at Temba police station, will take over from Colonel Ginindza at the Akasia police station.

Zwane hopes to unite his officers into a strong, effective team that can withstand and overcome the challenges the police face in the area.
District commissioner Brigadier Samuel Thine welcomed the new head honcho and also wished the outgoing station commander well on his new journey.
Zwane plans on putting more boots on the ground
“The public can expect to see more police visibility, more operations and awareness campaigns.”
Police will bring the heat to establishments such as taverns, drug dens and illegal second-hand goods businesses that are believed to be generators of crime.
This will be achieved by forming strong partnerships with external stakeholders such as Tshwane metro police (TMPD), Gauteng and national traffic police, departments of health, correctional services and social development as well as private securities companies, patrollers, CPFs and last but not least, the community at large.
“We want to raise the arrest of known suspects especially related to contact crimes which include GBV as well as other crimes against women and children.
“With the support and assistance of the community, we will achieve better results.”
Colonel Sello Frans Modise joins the Sinoville police station with over 33 years of experience and intends to enhance police visibility and tackle the most pressing crimes in the area which include house robberies and motor vehicle theft.
He plans to create a stronger force of the law by strengthening relationships with the local CPF for more manpower on the streets.
