Tshwane Flying Squad recovers two stolen vehicles in Atteridgeville

Both vehicles were recovered on the corner of Phakoe and Mphalane streets, Saulsville thanks to tracking devices.

Tshwane police flying squad members recently recovered two stolen vehicles on the same street in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria.

The vehicles were recovered on the corner of Phakoe and Mphalane streets in Saulsville, Pretoria.

Squad members first recovered a white Toyota Rav4, valued at R700 000.

“The vehicle recovered at the scene is in connection to a vehicle theft case reported in Sinoville, Pretoria North,” said squad communications officer, Sgt Legodi.

“No suspects were found on the scene and a fingerprint expert was later dispatched to analyse the vehicle,” Legodi continued.

The vehicle had been located with the assistance of Cartrak and was later taken to the Pretoria West impound for further analysis.

Later, squad members recovered a white Izuzu KB 250 valued at R100 000.

The vehicle had been reported stolen at the Sunnyside police recently.

A fingerprint expert was dispatched to analyse the vehicle before it was taken to the Pretoria West impound for further analysis.

The Izuzu was recovered with the assistance of Tracker SA.

Motorists are cautioned to ensure that their vehicles are locked properly before leaving them unattended and to also consider investing in a tracking device.
