Classic cars and bike day

They came to see popular cars and bikes from the '50s, '60s, '70s and '80s.

Thousands of classic car and bike enthusiasts from and around Pretoria flooded to Lavender Kontrei Mark for the Classic Cars and Bike day on Saturday.

They came to see popular cars and bikes from the 1950s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.

Organiser Lana Roux said the event was not just about cars and bikes, but a variety of unique handcraft stalls, delicious food, craft beer and music.

The event was a success attracting more than 1 500 people to the event to see classic cars and bikes from 1950s.

She added that the event was more of a family day as it accommodated everyone including children.

“The children had the opportunity to ride a horse, tractor and quadbikes,” said Roux.

The participating clubs were Datsun, Toeka tot Nou, AMOC, Old Ford, and Nissan and Penta group and Bikes from Solidariteit Helpende Hand Pta North branch.

The event started at 08:00 and ended at 15:00.
