Hours-long water disruption expected in Rooiwal and Waterval
Maintenance work will start at 09:00 and last until 21:00 on Wednesday.
Rooiwal residents can expect possible water outages as maintenance of the water supply network at the local reservoir will last for 12 hours this Wednesday, July 5.
The essential maintenance work at the Rooiwal Reservoir will be from 09:00 until 21:00, according to Tshwane metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.
The following areas will be affected:
– Rooiwal 270-JR
– Waterval 273-JR
The Tshwane Metro apologised for any inconvenience that may be caused because of the above-mentioned maintenance work.
Tshwane has encouraged residents to save water by:
– Not filling swimming pools.
– Flushing toilets only when necessary.
– Closing a running tap while brushing teeth.
– Reducing daily water usage as much as possible.
– Not watering gardens.
– Not washing cars.
– Not cleaning driveways or pavements using hosepipes.
