Avoid these streets due to march – TMPD

Tshwane metro police warn residents about a march on Thursday, August 10 in Rosslyn.

Step Into the New Era aims to raise awareness about youth unemployment and that companies no longer advertise job opportunities and training programmes on social media.

TMPD spokesperson Isaac Mahamba said the marchers will gather in Ernest Oppenheimer Street next to the Total garage in Rosslyn Industrial Pretoria from 10:00.

The marchers will walk to Nissan SA Rosslyn, return to Ernest Oppenheimer Street then proceed to Feeltex Auto Trim before going to BMW plant gate 1.

The following streets will be affected:

– Frans du Toit Street

– Ernest Oppenheimer Street

– Hornsnek Road

– Martinus Rass Street

– Hendrick Van Der Bijl Street

– Stefaan Viljoen Street

– Hardie Muller Street

Mahamba said marchers are expected to disperse at 14:00. TMPD officers will be deployed to monitor the march and all affected streets.

Motorists are advised to use these alternative routes:

– Greyling Crescent

– Van Eden Crescent

– Potgieter Street

– Henrico Road

– Bester Street
