Lynnwood robbery suspects take two cars, later abandon one

The suspects had initially stolen two vehicles from the premises but when chased by officers they abandoned one car and escaped with the other.

Police in Tshwane are searching for two male suspects who fled in a white Polo sedan, stolen in an armed house robbery on Glenwood Road in Lynnwood Glen in the early hours of Saturday.

CSI security company was notified of the incident and quickly responded to the scene.

The victim confirmed that two armed suspects were in the house and left with his property.

The owner was hit in the head with a pistol during the robbery.

CSI CEO Dana Bloem said the suspects had initially stolen two vehicles from the premises but when pursued by officers they abandoned one.

“Upon arrival, a white Polo Vivo pulled away at a high speed in the direction of Eersterust,” said Bloem.

CSI reaction officers followed, joined by Brinant officers.

Bloem said later the chasing party noticed a stationary white Polo Vivo at the Watermeyer offramp with its doors open.

“The vehicle fitted the description of one of the stolen vehicles.”

The escaping suspects had abandoned the Polo.

“The other stolen vehicle, unfortunately, got away and was sadly not fitted with a tracking device,” Bloem said.

He added that the suspects also got away with stealing three cellphones, X-Box, PlayStation and a TV.

Bloem said the Silverton SAPS took the recovered vehicle to Silverton police station for further investigation.

He urged anyone with information to contact the Brooklyn police or CSI.
