Pretoria Boeremark night market, Silverton, December 15
The Boeremark, in Silverton, is a weekly not-so-secret gem of weekend shopping in the Capital City.
Thousands usually make their way to the market for the freshest produce and hand made goods early in the morning, but this week the Boeremark will be at night, complete with a beer garden.
The beer garden opens at 14:00 on Friday, followed by the stalls at 16:00.
Pets are welcome, with lots to do for the little ones from go-carts to a petting zoo, while the mom does some Christmas shopping.

Ready for a laugh, a dance, a cry?
Jaid River, Thys Nortje and Jacob Funk are having an intimate performance at the Afriforum theatre on Thursday as you have never heard them before.
The show starts at 19:00 as the trio sing own music in front of a home crowd.
Santa run, Irene Centurion, December 16
Revolution trails is hosting its last run/walk for 2023 at Irene athletics clubhouse at the ARC Irene grounds in Centurion.
Dress up in a Christmas themed outfit to stand a chance to win a prize.
Registration opens at 05:45 and runners and walkers can start any time until 08:00.
Groenkloof Christmas Market, Pretoria Rugby Club, December 16
Over 120 stands of festive shopping nestled in the Old East will be an experience like no other.
Entrance to the market is free and will run from 08:30 to 14:30 at Pretoria rugby club in Groenkloof.
Vintage Car and Bike Show, CBC Old Boys Squash Club, December 16
After the Christmas market, head on over to the Vintage Car and Bike show to show off your pride and joy or see what the motor-heads are on about.
Pets are welcome, as long as they are leashed, with on-site restaurants, food trucks and a beer garden.
The exhibition will run from 08:30 to 14:30 at the CBC Old Boys Squash Club.
Geloftedag, Voortrekker Monument, December 16
The Voortrekker Monument invites all to pack the amphitheatre in support of the rich history and culture for the best Geloftedag so far.
Gates open at 06:00, with the opening songs at 07:00 and Geloftedag service at 09:00.
Food stalls and a Christmas market will open at 10:30 before the firing of Canon Susanna at 12:30.
Bianca Blanc’s Festive Moods, Irene Villiage Mall, December 14 and 21
Catch Bianca Blanc, performing Festive Moods, in the Piazza at Irene Villiage Mall, from 18:00 to 20:00 on Friday.
The Centurion singer’s amazing voice and passion for music has carried her through the years, leading to an illustrious list of stages that have had the pleasure of her presence.
Make a reservation at one of the many restaurants in the Piazza and enjoy Bianca Blanc, while you sit back, relax and enjoy a delicious meal and thirst quenching drink while taking in the Festive atmosphere.
Carols on the Corner, Villieria, December 22
Bring your camp chair and or singing voice as the community comes together for Carols on the Corner in the Moot.
The event is hosted by several community organisations and businesses and promises to be a special evening.
The community is coming together at 15:00 on December 22 on the corner of Nico Smith and Codonia Avenue in Villieria.
