The tourism industry in Tshwane will kick off 2026 with renewed energy and collaboration at the Tshwane Tourism Showcase on Friday, January 23, at the CSIR International Convention Centre.

Hosted by the Tshwane Tourism Association (TTA), the annual showcase brings together tourism businesses, hospitality professionals, media partners and key stakeholders to connect, collaborate and explore opportunities within the local tourism ecosystem.

Chairperson of the association Susan Marais said this year’s event is particularly significant as the TTA celebrates 25 years of representing and supporting tourism in Tshwane.

“The showcase not only reflects on the resilience of the industry following the challenges of recent years, but also looks ahead to growth, innovation and sustainable development in the capital city,” explained Marais.

She confirmed that visitors can expect a vibrant exhibition floor showcasing accommodation providers, attractions, venues, service providers and tourism initiatives, alongside networking opportunities and industry engagement sessions.

It also serves as a platform for businesses to increase visibility, form partnerships and stay informed about developments shaping tourism in the city.

Marais said the 2026 showcase marks a shift from recovery to growth.

“Our industry has proven its resilience. Now the focus is on collaboration, momentum and building a tourism sector that is confident, connected and future-focused.”

The Tshwane Tourism Showcase is open to tourism stakeholders, corporate buyers, associations and media, and forms part of a broader programme of initiatives planned by the TTA as it marks its 25th anniversary year.
