Shocked at stray animals in the roads

I am a resident of Celtisdal in Centurion and I drive on Ruimte Road every morning and afternoon to and from work.

I am terribly disturbed by all the dogs and cats that are run over and killed by cars on this road, but what bothers me most of all is that the remains are not being removed by the municipality.

It is really disturbing to an animal lover like myself to drive past dead dogs and cats every day.

To me it is inhumane and shocking to see that people don’t care. I feel that it is first of all the pet owner’s priority to make sure that their pets are safe and secondly, road users should be more alert when driving.

Perhaps if speed limits and cameras were put up on Ruimte Road the situation would improve. I surely cannot be the only person bothered by this and I hope something can be done.
