When doubt comes, you start questioning the Bible.

In the Garden of Eden the enemy managed to get Eve to doubt the Word of God. When doubt comes, you start questioning the Bible. You then either push God and his Word aside, or you just start believing a lie.

“God is not a man, that He should lie. He is not a son of man, that He should be sorry for what He has said. Has He said, and will He not do it? Has He spoken, and will He not keep His Word?” (Numbers 23:19 NLT)

Eve believed the enemy’s lie and it cost her and Adam the Garden of Eden! Do not allow the enemy to lie to you concerning God’s promises. In John 10:10 we read: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

A mother tells this beautiful story: “I took my kids to a restaurant. My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace. He prayed: ‘Dear God, I know you are a good and great God! Thank you for the food, and thank you that mom will even consider topping it off with ice cream. In Jesus name, amen!’

“The lady at the adjoining table responded immediately: ‘Some kids just don’t know how to pray! Imagine asking God for ice cream?’ The mother said: My son started crying, asking: ‘Mom, did I pray wrong? Is God now mad at me?’ Well, I just hugged my son and assured him that he prayed a good prayer of faith, and that God was not mad at him.

“The next moment an elderly gentleman came to our table and spoke to my son. ‘Young man,’ he said ‘I heard you pray a great prayer of faith. You prayed for God to bless you with ice cream. Wow! Too bad this lady never asked God for ice cream. Young man, sometimes ice cream is good for your taste buds, and good for your soul!’

At the end of the meal I ordered ice cream. My son looked at his, then got up and gave it to the lady with a big smile, saying: ‘Lady, this ice cream is for you. Sometimes ice cream is good for your taste buds, and good for your soul. My soul is already OK!'”
