Among Titans fans Heino Kuhn enjoys special status as a man who can pursue a target in a Momentum One-Day Cup match like few others, international stars, included. His statistics in the Momentum One-Day Cup campaign is impressive, as he scored 470 runs at an average of 47 in this competition. But it was the manner in which he propelled The Unlimited Titans almost single-handedly to the Momentum One-Day Cup final with excellent scores and superb timing that had the fans in awe of his abilities. He hammered a scintillating 92 off 80 balls as the Titans chased and reached 274 against the Chevrolet Knights in Bloemfontein in November to win by three wickets. In the next game, against the Chevrolet Warriors, The Unlimited Titans needed to reach 250 before the 40th over to secure a bonus-point win to edge the Chevrolet Warriors and to clinch a place in the semifinals at the Warriors’ expense. Kuhn obliged in style, smashing 105 off 96 balls with 13 fours and the visitors scored 250 for three in 38,5 overs. In the semifinal play-offs against the Sunfoil Dolphins, he hammered 102 off 117 balls and The Unlimited Titans reached 240 to beat the hosts by five wickets to reach the finals. Kuhn celebrated his 30th birthday in style on Wednesday as he received three accolades for his consistent excellence in the 2013/14. He was named the players’ player of the year, the Momentum One Day-Cup player of the year and the Unlimited Titans player of the year. In the Ram Slam T20 Challenge event he contributed 220 runs at an average of 36,66 and was, like in the Momentum One-Day Cup campaign, one of the standout performers with the bat. Elevated to the opening spot by Rob Walter, The Unlimited Titans coach who decided to donate the big gloves to Managaliso Mosehle, Kuhn responded in superb style to make the national selectors aware of his abilities in the shorter formats. One of the young guns who underlined his promise in all three formats, was Graeme van Buuren. Van Buuren and Mosehle helped the Titans to beat the Dolphins in the semifinal play-offs with a mature 47 off 57 balls, including three fours and a six. He also showed glimpses of his best form in the Sunfoil Series when he compiled a matured 85 at Boland Park in Paarl against an attack that included several international players, like Justin Kemp and Rory Kleinveldt. His average of 54 in the Sunfoil Series and of 31,40 in the Momentum One Day-Cup campaign does justice to his potential as one of The Unlimited Titans fastest evolving young players. Shaun von Berg is a vastly improved player this season and was a force to be reckoned with in the Momentum One-Day Cup campaign, by taking 4-45 against the bizhub Highveld Lions. Arguably his two finest moments came in the Sunfoil Series when this all-rounder and leg-spinner blasted 105 off 73 balls against the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras in Benoni. Beuran Hendricks, Kemp, Robin Peterson and the rest of the attack were treated with disdain as the burly Von Berg assaulted all-comers with a ferociousness normally associated with a David Miller or AB de Villiers. Von Berg took 7-66 in a Sunfoil Series match against the Chevrolet Knights and finished with an impressive match-haul of ten for 129 as The Unlimited Titans won their first Sunfoil Series match of the season by seven wickets in Kimberley Von Berg captured 24 wickets in his first six Sunfoil Series matches at an average of 27,54 and also finished with a useful average for a lower-order batsman of 26,66. Therefore he has justifiably been named The Unlimited Titans Sunfoil Series player of the season. Saeed Ajmal, a mystery spinner and arguably the greatest off-spinner in the world in both the T20-format and One Day Internationals, justified his international reputation by capturing 15 wickets in six matches for the Titans in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge event.

Apart from Sunil Narine of the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras, he was virtually impossible to decipher or decode and even senior international batsmen were bamboozled by his two doosrahs – the one a slower version and the second a quicker variation that wrecked stumps and reputations.
