Airforce Base Waterkloof excel in Volleyball

The team of Air Force Base Waterkloof won the tournament and won the gold medal.

The annual South African Air Force Volleyball Championship for 2014 was recently held at Air Force Base Swartkop West, where teams based around the country competed against each other.

The team of Air Force Base Waterkloof won the tournament and won the gold medal. The team of Air Force Base Durban won silver and Team Overberg was in third place.

At the end of the tournament a national team was named and seven players from Air Force Base Waterkloof was selected for this team. They are Rudolph du Plessis, KC Moshe, Lyndon Dace, Mons Moodley, Naresh Lalla, Owen Sign and Ralph van Jaarsveld.

Individual trophies were received by Rudolph du Plessis (best server for the tournament and selected as the women’s coach), Naresh Lalla (best setter for the tournament), Owen Sign (best attacker for the tournament) and Pine Pienaar was selected as coach for the men’s Air Force team.
