While the Soweto Derby will be the highlight of the weekend, there's also the super rugby and cricket world cup to look forward to.

On Saturday afternoon, soccer fans will be glued to their screens to watch the mouth-watering Soweto Derby between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. Those around Pretoria might prefer to take a short trip to Atteridgeville and watch Supersport United battle Ajax Cape Town at the Luca Moripe stadium at 18:00.

Mamelodi Sundowns, on the other hand, will travel to Charles Mopeli to take on Free State Stars as they look to catch up to log leaders Chiefs, the game will start at 20:15. University of Pretoria would conclude the weekend action when they host Maritzburg United on Sunday at the Tuks Stadium.

Super Rugby

Cheetahs vs Bulls

After a morale-boosting 43-35 victory against the Sharks last Saturday, The Blue Bulls will look to get their second win of the Super Rugby campaign when they tackle the high-flying Cheetahs at the Free State stadium on Saturday. Kick-off is scheduled for 17:00. In another South African derby, the DHL Stormers take on the Cell C Sharks at the DHL Newlands stadium on Saturday.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

South Africa’s Proteas are one win away from qualifying for the quarter-finals of the 2015 International Cricket Council(ICC) Cricket World Cup. Their last obstacle is an unpredictable Pakistan side desperate for a win. The Proteas will have a major boost with Vernon Philander and JP Duminy returning to the side after recovering from injuries. The game will take place at Eden Park, Auckland in New Zealand at 3:00 local time. South Africa is currently second in Pool B with six points.
