SPORT: AB new T20 tournament ambassador
The 34-year-old Pretoria based cricketer recently retired from international cricket.
Former Proteas batsman AB de Villiers has been appointed an ambassador of United Arab Emirates T20x tournament.
The five-team tournament will take place from December 19 until January 11 featuring a maximum of six international players, some of them South Africans.
De Villiers, will not play but is expected to interact with players throughout.

The 34-year-old Pretoria-based player recently retired from international cricket “to spend more time with my family”.
The news not only shocked the Proteas dressing room but the cricket nation worldwide.

But the man known as Mr.360 is still available to play for the Multiply Titans and could feature in this year’s RAM SLAM challenge if selected.
De Villiers said this showpiece tournament would give young emerging players the opportunity to play alongside some of the world’s best.
“T20 format has always been the format I love because it is very exciting to watch. This T20x tournament will take it to a whole new level,” de Villiers said.
