Several Bulls could get last chance at Loftus to impress Rassie + win tickets
At least four Bulls players could get their last chance during the Springboks' send-off test against Argentina at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday to convince Rassie Erasmus that they should be part of his World Cup squad.

Rassie Erasmus called up the Bulls’ fierce flanker Marco van Staden yesterday to join the Springboks‘ training squad in Pretoria ahead of Saturday’s send-off test match against Argentina. That could certainly mean Van Staden will have his last chance on Saturday to impress Erasmus before the Bok coach announces his final group for this year’s World Cup tournament. However, Van Staden is not the only Bulls player in this situation.

At least three other Bulls players are in the same position as Van Staden and could possibly be included in Saturday’s team. Although it is not a foregone conclusion that these three players, as well as Van Staden, will get a chance to play against Argentina on Saturday at Loftus Versfeld, the chances are good that they will be among the men Erasmus would want to see in action before he picks his final World Cup squad.
- In the lock position, Lood de Jager must convince Erasmus to include four locks in his team and not to gamble with Pieter Steph du Toit as a versatile player
- Lizo Gqoboka was the best South African loosehead prop during this year’s SuperRugby tournament, but he will probably also have to give a good performance on Saturday to confirm his place in the World Cup squad
- Supporters of Bulls fullback Warrick Gelant believe he is South Africa’s best in the position. However, he will have to convince doubters with a good performance on Saturday
