Aussie helping Proteas

South Africa have called up Mike Hussey to be a consultant in the 2015 ICC World Cup.

Former Australian batsman Michael ‘Mike’ Hussey is acting as a consultant for South African cricket team in its World Cup campaign in New Zealand and Australia. He will be one of four consultants for the Proteas.

Known as Mr Cricket, Hussey joined the Proteas on Wednesday in a training session for their next match against world champions India. Hussey will work alongside former India and Proteas coach Gary Kirsten, who is also a consultant for the South African team.

Hussey was part of the Australian cricket team that won the World Cup in 2007.

The other two consultants are former fast bowlers Charl Langeveldt and Allan Donald.

The Proteas play their second game against India in Melbourne on Sunday, having defeated Zimbabwe by 62 runs.
