What to look out for this weekend
This weekend is a busy sporting one - especially important for the Proteas.
ICC Cricket World Cup
South Africa’s Proteas will be eager to improve their fourth position in pool B as they take on the West Indies in their next cricket world cup match at 05:30am on Friday, 27 February. The Proteas convincingly beat the West Indies 4-1 a month ago, but the wheel appears to be turning.
They suffered their biggest world cup loss of 130 runs against India on Sunday, showing no real bowling prowess as India posted an innings of 307 runs.
Things became worse when South Africa batted and slumped to 177 all out. AB de Villiers seems to have the weight of the whole country on his shoulders and the general feeling was that the batting innings fell apart after his untimely run-out against India. The only thing De Villiers should be worrying about is getting his star-studded team playing to their full potential.
The West Indies front-line batsman Chris Gayle has hit magnificent form with his record-breaking 215 runs against Zimbabwe. The “Gayle Force” as he is known and the ability of De Villiers to enflame Protea fire will be the deciding elements in this match.

All the South African teams will be in action this weekend while the Cheetahs return from their first bye of the tournament. They will be looking for a second consecutive win in the competition when they play against the Blues at Free State stadium, 19:10 on Friday.
The Bulls will need to call on all their resources to find a winning formula when they meet the Sharks at Loftus Versveld, 17:05 on Saturday.
The Stormers will be looking to continue their form with back-to-back wins when they visit the Lions at Ellis Park, on Saturday, 19:10.
