International Junior tennis tournament coming to Groenkloof
International junior tennis action can this week be seen at the Groenkloof Tennis Stadium in Pretoria.
Tennis enthusiasts of Pretoria can look forward this week to top international junior tennis action when the Gauteng North Junior ITF tournament will be played from 27 July to 2 August at the Groenkloof Tennis Stadium.
This tournament follows the Junior ITF tournament that was played at The Wanderers Tennis Club last week.
Junior tennis players from over 25 countries have jetted into South Africa to participate in both tournaments.
The singles main draws for the boys are a 48 draw and girls a 32 draw. The boys doubles main draws will be a 24 draw and the girls a 16 draw.
Gavin Crookes, President of Tennis South Africa (TSA) said that his Association warmly welcomed the international and local players to the country for the event. “A lot of preparation has gone into making these tournaments a great success and enjoyable experience for especially our international players. TSA is delighted with the large international representation. This indicates that the internationals are happy with our facilities and South Africa remains an attractive destination.”
There is no entry fee for spectators and play is scheduled to start each day at 09h00.
