Rematch between Muller and Lerena in December

Boxing fans are excited about the announcement that two of South Africa’s best cruserweight boxers, Johnny Muller and Kevin Lerena will meet again in the ring early in December.

The final box and dine event of 2015 at Emperors Palace is set to be a thriller with the announcement last week that Johnny “The Hurricane” Muller and Kevin “KO Kid” Lerena will face each in the headline bout of “The Rematch” tournament taking place at the Palace of Dreams on Tuesday, December 1.

The fight, billed by boxing pundits as one of the grudge fights of the year, will see these to face-off for the WBA Pan African Cruiserweight belt and also Lerena’s SA Cruiserweight title in a fight which promises to be an action packed affair if their previous encounter, in November last year, is anything to go by.

On that occasion Muller left the ring victorious after scoring a unanimous points win but Lerena vowed, last week at the announcement of the fight, that he learnt his lesson and plans to win this rematch in December.
