Sport Highlights 20-22 May
Except for the big north vs south derby between the Bulls and the Stormers at Loftus Versfeld, sport lovers can also look forward to action in the IPL, the last PSL action of the season and tennis in the French Open this weekend.

There are several sports events to look forward to this weekend, but nothing comes near the Super Rugby derby between the Bulls and the Stormers at Loftus Versfeld.
Rugby
The Bulls are back in Pretoria after their tour to Australia and they take on the Stormers on Saturday.
After both teams struggled the past weekend, this game will not only determine the leader of the Africa Conference 1 log, but it will also boost the winners in respect of the rest of the tournament.
This game will start at 19:10 on Saturday evening.
The Carlton Cup Club league reaches its halfway mark this weekend with a few interesting games.
Centurion, the only team that can still deprive Naka Bulls of the Lucas Strachan Shield (the trophy won by the log leader after the first round of the tournament), will play against the upcoming Dragons.
Tukkies and Harlequins, the two teams at the bottom of the log, take each other on at Harlequins and Police will travel to Rustenburg to play against Impala.
At schoolboy level, one of the traditional Pretoria derbies takes place this weekend when Affies and Waterkloof play against each other in their annual derby.
Cricket
There is one more week of action left in this year’s Indian Premier League tournament and a few important games will be played this weekend.
The weekend’s action starts on Friday with a game between the Delhi Daredevils and the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad do not have any South Africans in their team, but players like JP Duminy, Quinton de Kock, Imran Tahir and Chris Morris could be part of the action for the Daredevils.
In Saturday’s first game the Rising Pune Supergiants, where Albie Morkel is part of the squad, play against the Kings XI Punjab.
Kings XI Punjab could field men like David Miller, Kyle Abbot, Farhaan Behardien or Hashim Amla.
Saturday’s second game will be between Dale Steyn’s Gujarat Lions and Marchant de Lange’s Mumbai Indians.
On Sunday the action takes place in Kolkata, where the Kolkata Knight Riders, coached by Jacques Kallis, will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Morné Morkel could be part of the action for the Knight Riders.
Duminy, De Kock, Tahir and Morris could be in action again in Sunday’s last game as their team, the Delhi Daredevils, play against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, with the possibility of AB de Villiers and David Wiese in action for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Football
The current Premier League football season finished last weekend with the last games of the season.
Most of the games will only have academic value because Mamelodi Sundowns have already been crowned as champions.
They will play Platinum Stars on Saturday at the Lucas Moripe stadium in Atteridgeville.
SuperSport United, who will finish somewhere in the middle of the log, will have a tough game against Orlando pirates in Soweto.
AmaTuks, at the bottom of the log, will almost certainly be relegated after the season.
They will play a home game against Golden Arrows.
All these games take place on Saturday at 15:00.
Tennis
For tennis lovers, the second Grand Slam tournament of the year starts this Sunday when the first balls will be served on Roland Garros in the French Open in Paris.
For the next two weeks we can sit back and watch the top tennis stars battle it out on this legendary tennis venue’s clay courts.
