Sundowns eliminated from yet another CAF tournament
An away goal rule saw Sundowns crash out of the CAF tournament.

Mamelodi Sundowns crashed out of the CAF Confederation Cup on Wednesday evening when they lost to Medeama in Ghana on the away goals rule.
The Brazilians won 3-1 in the first leg in Pretoria but failed to find the goal that would have taken them into the final eight of the competition.
Instead, Medeama won 2-0 at the Sekondi-Takorandi stadium.
The hosts pressed Sundowns in the early stages as they wanted that early goal to settle themselves. And it eventually came in the 30th minute via a penalty converted by Malik Akowush to head into half-time in the lead.
Downs came into the second half with intent, but Khama Billiat’s effort was well saved by the Medeama keeper.
The Ghanaian crowd were sent into raptures in the 65th minute, when their team found the second goal of the game.
Though the Brazilians pushed for a goal, it remained 2-0 to full time.
Pitso Mosimane’s side will now turn their focus to Platinum Stars who visit the Lucas Moripe stadium in the last game of the season.
Sundowns have already been crowned ABSA Premiership champions and will try to buff their squad for the ventures of continental football again next season.
